Health and Lifestyle Reports Jamaica Health and Lifestyle Survey II provides nationally representative estimates of the burden and secular trends in chronic non-communicable diseases, their risk factors and their association with lifestyle practices. The study follows on the Jamaica Health and Lifestyle Survey 2000 and the data are expected to inform National Health Policies on the changes in the lifestyle practices of Jamaicans. The study was conducted by the Epidemiology Research Unit, Tropical Medicine Research Institute, (UWI) and funded by the National Health Fund. Jamaican Health and Lifestyle Survey 2007-2008
The Jamaica Youth Risk and Resiliency Behaviour Survey 2006 of a community-based, nationally representative sample of adolescents aged 15-19 conducted to determine health and nutritional status, burden of risk factors and lifestyle behaviors and relate these to relevant demographic, socio-economic, and resiliency factors. The study was conducted by the Epidemiology Research Unit, Tropical Medicine Research Institute, (UWI) in collaboration with Ministry of Health, Jamaica and MEASURE Evaluation.
