The Office of Student Services is committed to supporting the University's Mission to "unlock the potential of the region". On that basis, Student Services continues to improve on the methods and strategies adopted to facilitate students in taking the responsibility for their learning and development. Hence, each year the units within the Office of Student Services conduct orientation programmes to:

	achieve agreed objectives,
	improve the physical facilities that support student learning, and
	develop and implement programmes that challenge learning.'

At the same time, the Office tries to facilitate an atmosphere that demonstrates an ethic of care and encourages students to face the challenges associated with learning and development in Higher Education.
