Orientation

The University’s Orientation for all new students is normally scheduled at the beginning of the academic year preceding the start of Registration Week. This activity provides you with the opportunity to meet academics, administrative personnel and other students.

Orientation activities are also carried out by the Faculties and Departments, the Guild of Students, the Office of Student Services and Development and the Libraries.

Library orientation is a pre-requisite for library registration. Please ensure that you consult the Orientation schedule and attend one of the sessions.

There are several Campus bus tours which are organized to familiarize new students with the Campus and its environs. Participation is strongly recommended in order to avoid confusion and misdirection once classes have begun.

Registration

All students are required to register at the start of the semester, and may register online. The Mona Campus operates an electronic system. Please see the website for full details www.mona.uwi.edu/iss/registration.

Please plan to attend the Matriculation and Welcome Ceremony on the Thursday following Registration Week in the Assembly Hall

The function lasts for about an hour; there you will meet and greet your Dean and other Faculty Members, classmates and members of the Guild of Students.
