Registration for New and Returning Students

Registration and academic counselling for the new year begins with the final year students on Friday August 22 and continues through the following Friday, Audust 31, with new students on Monday and Tuesday and returning students on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by all remaining students on Friday. All sessions run from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm and from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm each day in C5.

Prof. Simon Mitchell Appointed Associate Dean

Prof. Simon Mitchell has been appointed Associate Dean of Student Affairs in the Faculty of Pure & Applied Sciences for the period August 1, 2008 to July 31, 2009.

Foundations and Directions: celebrating geography and geology at The University of the West Indies.

The conference was held on Mona Campus, Jamaica, 7 th - 11 th July, 2008 to comomerate UWI's 60th Anniversary celebrations. Dr. Leonard Nurse, Senior Lecturer, Centre for Environmental Resource Management and Environmental Studies (CERMES), was the keynote speaker. Dr. Nurse is also an active member of the IPCC since 1990. He is also in the Scientific and Technical Advisory Panel of the GEF.
